I'm Gurdain Rayatt, a professional, classically trained tabla player with over 30 years of experience. My musical journey began at the age of 3, learning from my father Ustad Harkirat Rayatt and my grandfather Ustad Gurmit Singh Virdee, both respected exponents of the Punjab and Benares gharanas. As I grew, I continued my training under Pandit Bickram Ghosh and later became a disciple of the legendary Pandit Shankar Ghosh. I am honoured to now continue my taleem under renowned guru Pandit Yogesh Samsi.

Over the years, I have been privileged to perform across the world as a soloist, accompanist to master musicians and dancers, and to collaborate with artists across a wide range of musical traditions—Indian classical, opera, blues, Latin American, African, electronic, and contemporary styles. Every experience has deepened my love and understanding of tabla as a limitless art form.

For more than a decade, I have been teaching students online, and it has long been my dream to create a comprehensive, high-quality space where tabla lovers of all levels can learn, grow, and find inspiration.
